The Dead Weather are happy to announce their return to the UK this Fall with a handful of shows scheduled for October. Go HERE for complete date and ticket info, tickets go on sale this Friday, August 14th at 9 am local time.

"Fly Farm Blues" is a song that was written on the spot by Jack White at the request of film director Davis Guggenheim while filming the incredible new guitar documentary It Might Get Loud which features in depth looks at Mr. White, The Edge, and Jimmy Page's relationships with the six stringed instrument. Jack also recorded the song immediately to two-track, all while being filmed for the documentary in the attic of the Fly Farm. Some may remember the room this scene was filmed in from the first video for The Raconteurs single "Steady, As She Goes", which was directed by Jim Jarmusch. "Fly Farm Blues" is released on a special one sided 45 RPM vinyl by Third Man Records and on iTunes today. Sony Pictures Classics will release the film It Might Get Loud in selected theaters in New York and Los Angeles starting this Friday, August 14th and coming soon to a city near you.

It Might Get Loud
07.23.2009
It Might Get Loud tells the personal stories, in their own words, of three generations of electric guitar virtuosos – The Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White. It reveals how each developed his unique sound and style of playing favorite instruments, guitars both found and invented. Concentrating on the artist's musical rebellion, traveling with him to influential locations, provoking rare discussion as to how and why he writes and plays, this film lets you witness intimate moments and hear new music from each artist. The movie revolves around a day when Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge first met and sat down together to share their stories, teach and play.

Don't miss seeing Jack White in this Davis Guggenheim directed documentary that opens in select theaters in Los Angeles and New York on August 14th, with further showings in theaters across the US after that. View the trailer, see photos and read further info about the film at itmightgetloudmovie.com

Premiere of "Treat Me Like Your Mother" short
directed by Jonathan Glazer
07.01.2009
On the verge of the July 13th (UK/Europe)/July 14th (North America) release of their debut album Horehound, The Dead Weather announce the uncensored Cinemax debut of the short "Treat Me Like Your Mother."  The groundbreaking film was directed by Jonathan Glazer, whose credits range from such highly-acclaimed feature films as Sexy Beast and Birth to award-winning music videos for Radiohead.  In a rare event, the film will premiere in full in the US on Cinemax on July 11th at 9:55 pm and continue to air on all of the Cinemax multiplex channels for the following five weeks. The short will premiere in the UK on Channel 4 on July 13th at 00:10.

"It was overwhelmingly electric working with Jonathan Glazer on this project, which feels more short film than video," said White. "I've never felt an intensity like I did on the set of this shoot.  Absolutely violent, explosive, and poetic."

"Theirs was a beautiful energy to tap in to," explained Glazer. "You can't ask for anything more."

Can't wait to see it? Go HERE to view a trailer and film poster.  Check back often for more visuals being revealed prior to the premiere.
